Nokia introduces its Oro smartphone, a luxury version of the Nokia C7. The Oro is crafted from 18 carat gold for a touch of elegance and features premium leather on it back and a home key made of sapphire crystal.
The Nokia Oro, just like the C7, features a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 8 Megapixel camera with dual LED flash and HD video recording, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. The phone has 8GB internal memory and supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB. It comes in Light and Dark versions. Coming in Q3, Nokia will see the Oro for Euro 800 with a Nokia J headset in a box.

Altec Lansing announced the MIX BOOMBOX iMT810 digital boombox with integrated dock for iPhone and iPod. As the successor to the iMT800, the new model has an aggressive design and offers “epic bass”. Its “design retains a functional yet industrial appearance with brushed aluminum accents and grips.” The BOOMBOX houses specially engineered horn-loaded tweeters and mid-range drivers and its huge 5.25-inch side-firing subwoofer and 5.25-inch tuned passive radiator pump out natural roaring bass. It features Audio Alignment to deliver balanced, optimum sound and XdB technology for an extra heavy punch. It comes with four factory presets as well as a digital 7-band graphic equalizer.
The MIX BOOMBOX iMT810 an electric blue LCD information screen and comes with a remote control. It provides two AUX input for connecting other audio sources and sports built-in FM radio. The boombox runs on AC or gives 30 hours of play time on eight D-cell batteries. It also charges iPhone/iPod when connected to an AC power. Barnes & Noble (B&N) introduces its all-new NOOK e-book reader with a touchscreen. The new NOOK is called by B&N as The Simple Touch Reader.It features a 6-inch e-ink Pearl display with Zeforce infrared touchscreen, like the new Kobo eReader Touch, that allows users to turn pages, look up words, highlight passages, adjust the font size and style easily. The newly-designed lightweight, slim reader is 35 percent lighter and 15 percent thinner than NOOK Wi-Fi 1st Edition.
The All-new NOOK has 2GB internal memory that holds up to 1,000 books and offers a microSD/SDHC card slot for expansion. It supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n and uses micro USB connector for charging and PC connection. The e-book reader supports ePUB and PDF files as well as JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP images. It offers a battery life of up to 2 months on a single charge with Wi-Fi off, the longest battery life of any eReader. The new ultraportable NOOK Simple Touch Reader weighs under 8 ounces. It is available for pre-order for $139 and will e shipped on 10 June.
