Captain America Movie-based Android Game available at just $0.99

If you like playing video games on your Android Smartphone then I have found a game that has superb graphics and doesn't cost too much as well, just $1 (Rs. 43.92). Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty is currently available on Android Market at 80% discount but that's only for limited time.

Recently, Captain America: The First Avenger film was released and this 80% discount has been put up on the game because of the movie. The storyline of Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty game is the same as in the movie.

Well, the discount of the game has been put up because of Marvel's marketing plan, by the way, it was put up only for the weekends, but it is Tuesday now the discount is still available (Was that to create hype?).

The game is supported on limited devices therefore check before downloading the game.

Supported Smartphones

  • HTC EVO 4G
  • HTC Evo Shift
  • HTC INCREDIBLE
  • HTC Incredible 2
  • HTC Nexus One
  • HTC MyTouch4g
  • Huawei 8800
  • Motorola Atrix
  • Motorola Droid Pro
  • Motorola Droid X
  • Motorola MB612 XPRT
  • Samsung Droid Charge
  • Samsung Epic 4G – Galaxy S
  • Samsung Galaxy S
  • Samsung i500 Fascinate/Mesmerize
  • Samsung i897 Galaxy S Captivate
  • Samsung I997 Infuse
  • Samsung T759
  • Samsung T959V – Galaxy S
  • SE Xperia Play

Also, Captain America's marketing team has also put up a free live wallpaper on Android Market as well, the live part about it gives you the effect of a bullet being reflected from the shield when you touch or swipe across the shield (it's pretty boring actually).

Unnamed, Unannounced Samsung Smartphone with AT&T

It's like a trend now, when some new technology, let's say a new operating system is launched all the phone companies bring new Smartphone in the market which runs on that technology. The sad part is that not too many features in the new Smartphone is different from the one the company had launched earlier (except for minor changes in design and layout).

A new Smartphone from Samsung has been spotted, it has large display, seems to have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 4 touch sensitive keys at the bottom.

I expect it to have a dual core processor (1.2GHz or 1.5GHz), a good camera with dual LED flash (8MP) and Android v2.3 Gingerbread. It would be really good to see if Samsung has introduced some new features into this Smartphone. It seems more like a QWERTY version of Samsung Galaxy S2 Smartphone.

Nothing about its price, launch date, specs etc. has been revealed, the only part that has come up is that it would come into market with data plan from AT&T in a few months, let's wait and see what Samsung has in store for us.

Sony’s PlayStation Vita hopefully making a debut at TGS 2011

Latest Gaming Console from Sony – PS Vita coming soon at TGS 2011

Not too long ago, Sony announced something about their next-gen Portable Gaming Console i.e. PS Vita, it would give users a 6 way navigation thus giving them a total 3D gaming experience a lot more.

It is Official, PlayStation Vita would be showcased at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) later this year.

Hiroshi Kawano, the president of Sony Computer Entertainment in Japan said that PS Vita would be displayed for all the enthusiast gamers at TGS 2011 when he announced the Official PS Vita Community Website.

Not too much about the actual release of PlayStation Vita Gaming Console has been unveiled, I have no idea what would be the price of it and what new games are going to be launched to utilize that 6 way navigation. By the looks of it, the console feels a bit lighter, slimmer and equipped with better hardware (just my intuition).

Anyway, TGS would be held from 15th of September to 21st, that's not too far away from now. All the truths about PS Vita would be unleashed.

Fujitsu comes with Windows 7 (not Windows Phone 7) Smartphone

Posted: 26 Jul 2011 06:08 AM PDT

Fujitsu's latest Smartphone running on Windows 7 launched

Fujitsu, the brand known for its cameras and electronics has recently launched "F-07C", a Smartphone that runs on Windows 7 (the PC version) and not "Windows Phone 7."

F-07C-Windows-7-Smartphone

F-07C Smartphone from Fujitsu comes with full licenses version of Windows 7 Operating system along with Original Microsoft Office 2010 that comes with 2 year license.

The phone has a large touchscreen display and comes with a slide-out keyboard, as per the early images it is expected to get launched with data network from NTT Docomo.

The phone is capable of supporting multiple operating systems at the same time which means you can load other operating systems for cell phones on F-07C Smartphone.

The specs on the phone are those found on high-end Smartphones, it is a performance phone, 1.2 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of SSD storage. These specs remind me of a low end Windows Tablet, is this Smartphone a under nourished Tablet?

If you want a phone that has a long battery life then you should definitely skip this Smartphone, it excessively uses the battery thus giving you battery life of about 2 hours (even a laptop like MacBook Pro or Acer TravelMate can give you a battery life of 8+ hours) which is extremely low for a Smartphone.

It's hands-on video is available on YouTube, so you can check that out too.

Google+, the fastest growing Social Network (20 million users in 3 weeks)

Posted: 25 Jul 2011 09:58 AM PDT

Google's new Social Network reaches the Milestone of 20 million

The new social network from Google i.e. Google plus recently grabbed 20 million users worldwide (as suggested by Larry Page) in just 3 week's time.

google-plus-social-network

Google+ is currently in trial phase and has several feature updates scheduled in the future. I feel the circles option in Google+ is pretty cool, you get to select the streams with which you want to share that update with, like family, friends, work etc. all separated (that's really beneficial).

Although 20 million seems nothing in front of 750 million user base of Big F of social networking. Google might be doing well, but could it overtake Facebook? I doubt it heavily. What about you?
